What a Deal....

I felt like sharing this, plus add it to my journal log (which is my blog). I have been couponing for about 6 months now. Trying to save some money, which I feel I have in some ways but feel I also spend the same just get more a lot of times. I haven't been able to do the Extreme Coupon thing yet, because we don't have a store here that doubles coupons and I just can't get enough coupons sometimes. But feel that I have done it a couple of times. The 5 boxes of cereal above I just got and had gotten coupons for (from all my sites I check). And then Smith's had them if you buy 5 boxes you will pay $1.49 a box which is really good. But, after my coupons I only paid $4.97 with tax, so thats about .99 cents per box (or .95 cents a box before tax) which is really a good deal considering this cereal is usually over $3.oo a box.
My other 2 deals I had purchased was from Walmart. They have the men's speed stick for .97 cents and I had serveral coupons for this (because I buy 3 papers, have online coupons and yes, dumpster dive for coupons also) that were .75 cents off which meant I only paid .22 cents a piece for these. So, Joe is good for a while. The razors were a really good deal. They have them at Walmart for .97 cents also and I had gotten only 5 coupons for this but still not bad that were a $1.00 off when you buy them so really Walmart paid me back .03 cents for everyone I bought.. you can't beat that.

I know couponing can be a pain. But, now a days a lot of them are on the computer that you can print off and then just buy several papers and you can really save some money and get more product. I really only spend 3 hours a week doing this and feel I save us hundreds every month doing it.

What a way to start Summer.....

View from top of trail

Joe and Patrick getting around the big rock to get to other side, were the water took the trail out..

Twins waiting patiently while Joe and Patrick went up the trail further..

What a way to start the summer.... Our goal this summer as a family is to hike as many trails here in our northern part of Utah as we can. The one we did tonight was called Adams trail or Fernwood, just off of 89 highway in Kaysville or Layton (not sure which city is once your up there). This was our second time doing this trail and each time we have been trying to get up to a 40 ft waterfall thats at the end. But, as we made it this time even further and thought we could make it this time the trail had been washed out from all the water we have had this year and now the run off of the snow took the trail out and you could climb over this big rock, but didn't want to take the risk with the twins slipping and falling and adding to the death toll that has already happened this year with all the kids falling into the creeks and rivers raging and it is raging, and is so beautiful but definitely don't want to take the risk and loose one of them.
It is a beautiful hike though even though we couldn't make it all the way, but hopefully in a month or two when it stops flowing so high we will be able to get up to the falls. But, for now this is our first hike with many more to come... by the end of summer I better be skinny minny after all this, hehe..

Happy Father's Day to all....

Joe and his new running shoes for Father's Day....

Happy Father's Day to Joe, my father and Joe's father. It was a nice day spending it together as our little family. Both of our Father's live out of State so it is just us. We talked with both our dads and wished them the very best. We were able to spend a little time with my dad this last week while he was up for a few days visiting his own father (who was put into a Hospice now that he can't take care of himself). So, we spent the time we had with my dad while he was here and did his Father's Day gift before he left..

The twins made little cards and letters for Joe at school and then also gave him a funny card.. We decided to go up this afternoon to check out a new trail and because it was raining off and on, we thought we would brave it a little and just check it out a bit to see if we would come back. It was a great trail and of course got caught in the next down pour. So, to say the least by the time we got to the car we were all soaked, but it will be a Father's Day memory forever. We came home got dried off and enjoyed the rest of the day relaxing, napping and made Joe's favorite for dinner Spagetti.. with a strawberry cheesecake for dessert.. Yum! Love to Joe, my dad and Joe's dad on this special day.

Pure and trusting. You are a gentle soul who can get along with just about anyone. Everyone you meet instantly falls in love with you. How can they resist? You have a pure, lovable nature that's irresistable. Just don't trust everyone who comes across your path.
