A month ago I had been watching Live with Kelly and saw that she and some other woman (that were winners) went to see this play on Broadway Rock of Ages. It is a play based in the 80's about a girl that moves to Hollywood to try and make it as an actress/singer. As they told the story on the show it sounded like it would be a fun play to see. Since growing up in the 80's and all the music that I still love and just taking you back to that time. Well, fast forward a few weeks and I'm watching the news and they said that this Rock of Ages from New York would be making a 2 day appearance here at Kingsbury Hall at the "U". Well, I was so excited and called Joe and asked if he would like to see it. He said he thought it would be a nice thing for the whole family to do and to find out how much tickets are. The tickets ended up being very reasonable so I purchased them for us and the show was this last Saturday.
It ended up being a fun play that sure brought you back to that time and had a cute story but was a little more risque than I thought and had a little bit of language. I wish they would say this in the description of the play online, plus when it says 6 and older allowed you think ok its not going to be bad, well it was a little much for the boys I felt and next time we see a play I will call and ask about it. Other than that it was a nice time and the boys actually enjoyed the play especially the music.... which I know we all enjoyed that. Afterwards we had dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant
Buca di Beppo.
We sat in the balcony area
They had a live band playing all the music that the actors were singing. It was very impressive! They did a great job.
The 2 main characters in the story that fell in love
During intermission we had a funny photo session
