Last weekend we headed down to Southern Utah for a little trip and for us to help my dad out since my parents are retiring this year and moving up to Southern Utah out of Vegas. While we were there we decided to take advantage of the great weather and do some hiking.. The above shot was of the first night we were there it clouded up some and then came a big beautiful rainbow and even doubled at one time.
The next day we headed up to the Reservoir to check it out and to hike and drive up around the lake and check out different spots I hadn't seen since I was a kid. For dinner we cooked out and made tin foil dinners (my favorite) and then headed back. The boys were in heaven all day, but the day also did them in.. which is a good thing after a long day.
On our last day we headed to St. George to have lunch with my parents before we went our separate ways so that Patrick could have a little celebration on his birthday with his grandparents. Afterwards, Joe wanted to go see his favorite spot in St. George called the Sugar loaf (its above the city) and is a great spot to climb and hike.
I love the next 2 pictures of all my guys.. and believe it or not I did not tell them to pose this way they just all happened to go down to the edge of the Reservoir and stand there. Was a great photo opp. Then it was even funnier when they all dispersed and was again the perfect picture.
In this picture you can really tell the difference between my twins. Blake is the attitude one and Jake is the happy smiley one.. lol
Our hike we did up the mountain. The crack you see is were the trail was before the water came down and washed it out, so we had to go around to head up.
Yes, In the small town my parents are retiring was Mater.. It was in front of this house and we felt stupid getting the boys out and having them stand with him, so I just took a quick pic. But it was pretty cool to see and that someone had created this. Below are all the photos from the Sugar loaf trail in St. George..
