Thanksgiving Point......

My parents are in town for a week and we wanted to go last year to see Thanksgiving Point at the Christmas season with there lights and the drive thru setting, so we figured why they were here and because it is freezing out there it would nice to look at lights and ride in the warm car. After you drive thru at the end and then up by the entry they had real rain deer.  The boys just loved it!  They couldn't believe that Santa had left behind a few rain deer for them to see (it was the funniest thing).  It is very pretty there this time of year. Maybe next year will dress a little warmer and walk around and see all the shops and what they have to offer.

Joe took a picture of my parents and the boys in the car at Thanksgiving Point and as you can see they weren't ready for it, which is how Joe likes to take picture..

Christmas Morning...

There's nothing like Christmas morning.  A special Thanks to a few places and people for a wonderful holiday.  K-mart for there layaway program this year, my brother for helping out (Thanks again) and gifts from the grandparents I think the boys did pretty good I would say.  They got everything they would want and then some.  But, besides getting this year we also gave and helped out with a Shelter this year.  We went to the dollar store and bought the items that were needed and then gave them away.  The boys went with me and as we bought the items and after I explained to them how lucky they are and that items even though simple were needed by these people and that they would appreciate it so much.  I love this time of year to show my boys how giving, just not getting is important and that I wish the feeling was around all year round, but at least through the Holiday season they understand that its just not about them and there needs its about helping and caring about those that need it most.  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Holiday Season!

Some Family Fun....

We went over to our local High School the other day and in the back they have this hill that is just perfect for the kids.  So for about an hour we let them go up and down and slide down the hill.  They had so much fun screaming and laughing as they went down, they thought it was the greatest thing ever.  We had a lot of fun and now thats all they talk about and want to do every day now. I have created monsters with the sledding..

Turning 5!!

Wow!  They are turning 5 on Sunday.  It has been an amazing 5 years with them both.  When they first were born Jacob was 4 lbs 2 oz and Blake was 3 lbs 12 oz and look at them now you would never know it.  They are 2 amazing boys and miracles all together.  Even though we have had our rough times we have also had our good times and are very blessed to have both of you.  We couldn't imagine not having either one of you.  I made a slide of the last 5 years ( I couldn't fit every picture, so I just highlighted it).  But its a chance to see them from the beginning to there life now.  We love you both and are so happy you are in our lives.

HAPPY HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY!!!!!

A Princess Party!!

.........................................                        It was my Niece's Birthday on the 30th, but they had the party on Saturday, so we went down to celebrate and see her in her princess costume that she wore for Halloween.  She was so cute and she even had the pretty shoes to go with.  The party was a lot of fun with all the kids in there cute costumes and the yummy cake!

HALLOWEEN 2008 - TRICK OR TREAT

The boys were so excited to go Trick or Treating! It went fine until the 1st house and then Patrick couldn't walk in the Iron Man costume so we stopped past the house and took off the boots.  Then as we got further down and it got darker he couldn't see.  Then Jake tripped and fell in the Patrick costume and split it on the side which then made his shorts fall down.  So to say the least we had to come back home and change into other outfits just to finish a few more houses for the night.  But, even though we had a lot of wardrobe malfunctions they had fun.

I've been TAGGED by Sarah..

I now have to give six things that are about myself or corky, so here goes..

1.  I have to say I'm a lot like my friend and I love to stay in my pajamas all day or just grubby clothes if I'm not going anywhere.

2.  I love to have chocolate a fire and a good movie.  Or another one of my favorites is to sit with Patrick and have late night fright night movies on TV.  He is so much like me in that way and we both share that time together.

3.  I to enjoy Scrapbooking and have enough to keep me busy forever!! Because I am so behind, but I am slowly catching up.

4.  As most people know of me, but I guess I am a freak or go a little overboard when it comes to the Holidays and decorating or giving out gifts.  But, I just can't help it, it's something I like to do.

5.  I do enjoy spending time with my boys and doing as much with them now, because they are getting so big and growing up so fast that these days will be gone soon.

6.  The last thing about me is that I have realized I can't live without my computer, cell phone or a car.  Its sad but those things would be dearly missed if I didn't have them and I also think I would go insane, but then also maybe I would cope.

The Pumpkin Patch..

We have this place here in Syracuse called Black Island Farms and me and the kids went there the other day with a bunch of people from our Ward.  We did a Hayride and then the kids got to pick a pumpkin that they wanted.  They also have other activities that they can do.  We had a lot of fun!

More of the finished project..

Here's Patrick and his costume for Halloween.  He is going to be Iron man.
